OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES (The “Contest Rules”)

HUMBOLDT CO-OPERATIVE SHOP SCORE AND WIN (The “Contest”)

THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY, EXCEPT QUEBEC, AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW

OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS

1. HUMBOLDT CO-OPERATIVE MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Humboldt Co-operative (“Membership”) is required to participate in the Contest. If you are not a Member, you may purchase a membership online at www.humboldtco-op.crs.

2. CONTEST PERIOD AND ELIGIBILITY

The Contest will commence on September 10th 2023 at 8:00 am Central Time and will operate through to the later of the end of the 2023-2024 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (“SJHL”) season on March 16, 2024 or the date the Humboldt Broncos are eliminated from the 2023-2024 SJHL playoffs (the “Contest Period”). The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, and have a valid telephone number. The Contest is not open to employees or Directors of the Humboldt Co-operative or the Humboldt Broncos.

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Customers will automatically receive a Humboldt Co-op Shop Score and Win entry with a $25.00 or more purchase at any Humboldt Co-op location providing that their Member number is recorded at the time of Purchase. Entries are valid for a period of one (1) week, after which time the database may be cleared. Collection of entries will begin September 11th, 2023. Any purchase of $25.00 or more made between Monday to Sunday, will get the Member entered into the contest for the Prize Period of the following Monday to Sunday. To be clear the first Entry Period of the Contest runs Monday September 11th, 2023 to Sunday September 17th 2023 and makes Members eligible for the Contest for any and all Bronco home games at Elgar Peterson Arena played on Monday September 18th, 2023 to Sunday September 24th, 2023. A new Entry Period will begin on Monday September 18th, 2023 and a new Prize Period will begin on Monday September 25th, 2023.

4. PRIZES

4.1 PRIZE FOR FIVE (5) GOALS IN ONE (1) GAME

Should any Humboldt Broncos’ player score five (5) goals in one (1) game played at the Elgar Peterson Arena (EPA) (excluding goals scored during a shootout) during the 2023-2024 SJHL regular season or playoffs (as recorded by the SJHL official game scorer), one contestant, through a Random Draw of all entries received (as hereafter defined), will qualify to win $10,000 of Co-op gift certificates. In the event that a player scores five (5) goals in one (1) game as contemplated in Rule 4.1, the prize for scoring four (4) goals in one (1) game and the prize for scoring three (3) goals in one game will not be awarded in relation to that player. For the avoidance of any doubt, this means that if a player scores five (5) goals in one (1) game then the prize will be $10,000 of Co-op gift certificates and not $10,000 plus $1,100. Please note the special conditions of the $10,000 prize: One entry is drawn prior to each regular season and playoff Humboldt Broncos’ home game (played at the EPA) during the 2023-2024 SJHL season. If five (5) goals are scored during one of the abovementioned games by a player of the Broncos (excluding goals scored during a shootout), Humboldt Co-op, (hereafter sometimes referred to as the “Co-op”) will make all reasonable efforts to contact the person whose name was drawn. If the Co-op, acting reasonably, cannot contact the selected entrant within ten (10) business days of the date of the relevant game, another name will be drawn. The Co-op will then make reasonable efforts to contact that person within ten (10) further business days, failing which another name will be drawn, and so on, until a selected entrant is contacted. There can be only one (1) $10,000 prize winner during the contest period.

4.2 OTHER PRIZES

In addition to the possibility of awarding the $10,000 Prize in accordance with Rule 4.1 above, other prizes will be as follows:

PRIZE FOR FOUR (4) GOALS IN ONE (1) GAME: $1,000 of Co-op Gift Cards will be awarded each time four (4) goals are scored in one game played at the EPA by a player on the Broncos during the games indicated above (excluding goals scored during a shootout) as recorded by the SJHL official game scorer. Limit of two (2) $1,000 prizes during each game of the contest period, after which time it will be discontinued. For the avoidance of any doubt, as outlined above the $1,000 prize for scoring four (4) goals in one (1) game will not be awarded in any scenario in which that same player scores five (5) goals in that same one (1) game. Limit of two (2) $1,000 prizes during the contest period, after which time it will be discontinued.

PRIZE FOR THREE (3) GOALS IN ONE (1) GAME: $100 Co-op Gift Card will be awarded each time three (3) goals are scored in one game played at the EPA by a player on the Broncos during the games indicated above (excluding goals scored during a shootout) as recorded by the SJHL official game scorer. Limit of three (3) $100 prizes during each game of the contest period, after which time it will be discontinued. For the avoidance of any doubt, as outlined above the $100 prize for scoring three (3) goals in one (1) game will not be awarded in any scenario in which that same player scores four (4) goals in that same one (1) game.

5. GENERAL CONDITIONS

Potential winners will be judged, and prizes awarded based on correctly answering, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and signing a liability/publicity release. Potential winners that do not meet these conditions will not be eligible to receive a prize. Every eligible winner will receive his/her prize within two (2) weeks after verification. If the $10,000 prize is awarded, the winner will be paid in accordance with the terms in Rule 4.1.

Odds of winning one of the above prizes depends upon the number of entries received and the number of goals scored in relevant games. All prizes must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions (cash or otherwise). Maximum of one (1) prize per household.

No correspondence will be entered into except with potential winners and winners. The Humboldt Co-op is the sole judge and its decision about any aspect of this contest shall be final and binding. Humboldt Co-op reserves the right to use winners’ names and/or photographs in any advertising or publicity, with no compensation to the winners.

Humboldt Co-op shall not be responsible for any electronic network, computer problem or any other technical error of any kind. None of Humboldt Co-op, or any of its respective affiliates, agents, officers, directors and employees shall be responsible in any way for the use of or bear any liability whatsoever in any way attributable to the prizes awarded in this contest. Not responsible for lost or misdirected entries, computer/database failures or errors of any kind.

Humboldt Co-op will not be responsible for any adjustments in scheduling of SJHL hockey, or any event which may affect the SJHL season, and thereby force the contest to cease operations either temporarily or permanently. Humboldt Co-op reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notification.

Entry into this contest constitutes acceptance of these contest rules.
